Q: “What does the price of the ticket include?”

A: It’s taken me a long time to put together something like this because I wanted it to be *worth it. I can’t guarantee fancy slideshows or an entire presentation but what I want to offer is what I think you (and myself included) need. An atmosphere to be creative. The class will be 4 hours long with a short meet and greet complete with a grazing table. I will say a few words and speak from my heart about the industry and what I believe is the best thing I can try to teach you. There will be a short question and answer portion (also feel free to come up to me at any point or even after the class to chat) where I answer the specific questions that you have if you’re too nervous to ask. Then I will do a short demo shoot where you can see me work and I will also talk about what inspires me and what goes into setting up my creative shoots. Then the majority of this class will consist of actually being creative. We will then break out into different groups and each of you will have time to work with two separate models I frequently work with. I am collaborating with Fatima of Studio Terrain and Andrea of Glam by Andrea for a super fun and whimsical vision. There will be a table filled with different props, prisms, fabrics and other tools for you to use during the shoot to get that funkiness flowing. I will be hanging out with you during this time to also answer any questions or give any tips hands on. (but mostly its to have fun and do your thing..) Toward the end of the class I will be taking professional and Polaroid portraits (for you to take home) of everyone in a fun little set up. The professional ones will be delivered within a week after the class. You will also walk away with one of my favorite Detroit treats.

Q: “What should I bring?”

A: Even though it is only a three hour class there will be grazing style snacks provided as well as drinks. (I can’t go too long without snacking) Other than that please bring any gear you’d like to participate in a creative shoot, ex: (camera, lenses, memory cards). Feel free to bring anything you need to take notes should you need to.

Q: “I see that the ticket is non-refundable… what do I do if I can’t make it?”

A: Unfortunately I can only offer refunds under extraordinary circumstances. I’ve priced this workshop out as low as I possibly can to make it affordable and worth your precious time/money. In order to pay everyone involved and the cost of the rental/food/artists etc; I have to make sure everyone is guaranteed compensation for participating. Therefore refunds are off the table. However, you are able to transfer your ticket and sell it to someone else if you are unable to make it. If this is you and you’ve found arrangements for a transfer please fill out this form: TICKET TRANSFER FORM
